The Waking the Giant Task Team (creators
of this website) believe that just as David challenged and
killed Goliath in the name of the Lord, so we, the Church
and Body of Christ, must challenge and kill these giants we
see ravaging our communities today!
The ‘Waking the
Giant’ Task Team comprises the following persons:
Patrick Manzini (the Barn Church), Lynn Lubbe (the Barn
Church), Lisa Hutchingson (St Mungo’s), Karen
Scheepers (Liberty Church), Peta Smal (Liberty Church),
Septi Bukula (the Barn Church), Sean Krige (Rivers Church),
and David & Lynette Morrison (Liberty Church)
Our goals
The continual and increased
effectiveness, growth and influence of the "Church's"
community based outreaches, as a result of these outreaches
being better connected, informed and supported.
Our vision
To see the Church come
together and stand united in its mandate to radically
impact society in a manner causing it to be seen as
the salt and light of the world!

Origin
Born out of a desire
and need expressed by the church outreach and project
leaders, to become more aware of what else is being
done to help the community, including the need to make
connections and network with other projects and ministries.
